Who we are
Some Days Stay is operated by Huajian Li (China). For any privacy question, email privacy@somedaysstay.com.
What we collect
- When you create a gallery: the gallery name, an optional event date and, if you choose to give it, your email address so we can send you your private admin link and, if you ask, fresh links later.
- Keepsake extras: a guest password, stored only as a one-way hash we can’t read back, and the cover photo and welcome note you add.
- When guests upload: the photos and videos in original quality, including any metadata stored inside the files (for example the time a photo was taken or its location), smaller previews we generate, the file names and, optionally, the name a guest types in.
- When you upgrade: our payment provider gives us your email address and an order number so we can match the payment to your gallery. We never see your card details.
- When anyone visits: our hosting provider processes technical connection data (such as IP address, time and browser type) to deliver pages and block abuse. We also count page views per day and traffic source (for example “from an ad”), without IP addresses, cookies or any identifier that points to a person. To stop abuse of gallery passwords and emails, we briefly count attempts under a one-way hash of the IP address or email address; these counters are deleted after at most an hour.
How galleries stay private
A gallery can only be opened with its link or QR code, and gallery pages tell search engines not to index them. The person who created the gallery decides whether guests can view it and download originals, and can hide or delete any photo or the whole gallery at any time.
How long we keep things
Free galleries are deleted automatically 30 days after the event date. Essentials galleries are deleted 1 year and Keepsake galleries 3 years after the event date or the payment, whichever is later. When a gallery is deleted — automatically or by its owner — its photos and videos are removed within 2 days. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Who helps us run the service
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the website and stores galleries. Uploaded files are stored in Cloudflare’s EU storage region.
- Creem processes payments as reseller (“merchant of record”) under its own privacy policy: creem.io/privacy.
- Resend delivers emails with admin links, only if you enter an email address or ask for your links.
- The photos on our home page are loaded from Unsplash, so your browser connects to Unsplash’s servers when you open that page.
Cookies and browser storage
We don’t use cookies, advertising pixels or analytics tools. Your browser’s local storage keeps only what the service needs: the admin links of galleries you created on that device, if you typed it, your name as a guest, and for password-protected galleries a token that remembers for 30 days that you entered the password.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it by emailing privacy@somedaysstay.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to processing or to complain to a data protection authority.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the date above.
